did u meant mostly not understood or rarely understood? As per me its most over-rated n over-used word.
I agree to what you say, i mean when the person really feels sorry from the heart and say it, then mostly your sorry is accepted and respected as well. But as you stated, if you use it as just a word..it loses its meaning.
