Duty towards our right

Rains put Delhi drainage system to shame. Water gushing out from the pothole trying to break open the lid. Never experienced such a horrible drive in my life. It was heavily raining outside and inside, though driving an AC car sweat was trickling down my forehead. It was because of the fear that my car may falter submitting to high water level. I was consistently pressing heavy on accelerator to keep the engine in life and clutch as well to keep the speed under control.

I was also wondering, if this is the condition of the capital of the country, then what about the cities of notorious states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, etc. Delhi is face of the country, and I have a bad feeling to have an ugly face.I don't want to blame system, administration, kejriwal, modi or congress for this. Like we all do our duties to make our home beautiful, similar must be the efforts towards our city, state and country.

In a typical Indian family like father earns money and mother cooks food, children assist them as per their capabilities. Similar should be our efforts towards our Nation. Neither am I going to repair the drainage system, nor you but we can do what best we can do. Like we can dispose of our wastes through proper channels, so at least our drainage system is not clogged with it. We can follow traffic rules, be more courteous towards others. Stop breaking rules, even if no one is looking. So that all the energy can be diverted towards resolving issues and not implementing checks on intelligent citizens like us.

While on the road it reminds me of my school days. Traffic police playing the role of  headmaster who is looking through the space between his glasses and forehead to find that mischievous boy who is planning to bunk a class or trying to jump the wall as we try to jump the signal. When will we grow up? Why do we need someone to check our actions. This is a serious question on our upbringing and education system that even after completing 10+2,  adding graduation, post graduation or even doctorate, we are still worst than a preschooler. Preschooler is ignorant and innocent, but that doesn't apply to us.Let's make this place a better place to live by just doing whatever we are doing in a right way.

It is more important to do things in a right way then doing things right. Doing it right, is not our right but our duty towards our rights.
